Dysport® is an injectable that works similarly to BOTOX®. It’s also made up of botulinum toxin but seems to spread a little further than BOTOX. This can be an advantage in some cases.
The final results of your injections may show slightly faster with Dysport, but the results should last about the same amount of time as BOTOX. This doesn’t mean the two products are interchangeable, however.
We have worked with all of these products for many years, so we’ll tell you which is best to give you the results you’re after.
Like BOTOX, you can start with a small dose of Dysport for a softened look in order to “try out” the experience. Your injections won’t last as long with a smaller dose, but you can get a taste of it and decide if you like the results.

What can Dysport do for me?
Dysport is FDA-approved for the “frown” lines between your eyebrows that can age you and make you look tired. It’s great in many other areas too, like forehead lines, the fine lines around your mouth, wrinkles around the eyes, crow’s feet and even lines in the neck.
Do Dysport injections hurt?
As always, we don’t lie – pretty hurts a little bit. But Dysport injections are not tremendously painful. If you need, we’ll use a mild anesthetic cream or ice to numb the areas where you’re getting your injections and the pain will only last for a moment.
Our staff often holds the hands of our clients. They don’t mind! Or you can hold onto a squeeze toy during the injections. It can help, especially if it’s your first time and you’re nervous about it.
How does Dysport work?
Dysport works on wrinkles and lines that are a result of repeated facial expressions that cause muscle contractions. The injections smooth the area by reducing the activity of the muscle contractions.
How long do the injections last?
You’ll start to see the results of your injections within a few days, and improvement continues for a couple of weeks.
The usual dosage lasts 3-4 months. Again, a smaller dosage will mean you’ll need Dysport injections sooner to keep those wrinkles at bay but you shouldn’t have the injections more often than every three months.
What is recovery like?
Dysport injection recovery is easy. There’s a possibility of some slight bruising and soreness, but some people have no reaction whatsoever. If you do have a slight reaction, these effects should go away within a couple of days and you can cover any discoloration with makeup.
Is Dysport safe?
Dysport injections are very safe. The dosage – even at the highest used for an aesthetic treatment – is small and harmless.
Dysport injections can be done concurrently with facial fillers to contour your face and create a Liquid Facelift. Contact Rush to Beauty in Beverly Hills today for a consultation to find out how you can look naturally younger in minutes.
